    • ‎12 month old fav rec is lasagna with hidden veggies and bechamel sauce-

SAUCE; 2xchopped carrots, 1xchopped celery stick, 1xchopped red capsicum, 1xchopped red onion, 3xchopped garlic cloves, 1xchopped handful english spinach, 1x small hs...ndful of fresh basil, 2xcans tinned tomatoe, 500 grams of beef mince, 2-3 large swiss mushrooms, if required 1/2-1 cup water to make more sauce.. Add onion and garlic to splash of olive oil in pan and sautee, add carrot & celery and cook until soft, add all other veggies and cook for a few mins, add tinned tomatoes, basil & spinach & cook for around 20-30 mins. If your child is old enough add a tiny but of salt and pepper.

Bechamel sauce- Melt butter (60 grams) until foaming. Add flour 1/3 cup flour. Cook, stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes or until bubbling. Remove from heat. Slowly add milk (3-4 cups), whisking constantly, until mixture is smooth. Return to heat. Cook, stirring with a wooden spoon, for 10 to 12 minutes or until sauce comes to the boil, thickens and coats the back of a wooden spoon. Remove from heat. Stir in parmesan (handful), salt and nutmeg to taste.

To make lasagna- layer meat and bechamel in bking dish, layer with fresh lasagna sheets followed by a layer of zuchinni and sweet potatoe.. Cont layering until you run out of ingreadiants and just ensure you finish last with meat sauce and mixed pizza cheese... Sounds complex, but its suprisingly easy and my DS has loved this dish since around 7 months!

    • Pumpkin soup: chop onion, 2 garlic cloves, whole butternut pumpkin and a sweet potato and place in a large pot. Barely cover with liquid stock. Boil until vegies are soft. Blend. Add sour cream. You can adjust the thickness by removing some... of the stock (you can always readd it to thin it down). I often make it really thick for my toddlers so they can spoon it up without it dripping everywhere and we all LOVE it, plus it freezes really well of the stock (you can always readd it to thin it down).
